Bio

Roberto Caielli is an Italian art photographer, writer and fine art printing master, based in Daverio (Va, Ita) and Grimentz (Anniviers, Ch).

Born in Angera (Va) in 1973, graduated in Literature, Italian Canon Lfp Ambassador since 2014. Already author of literary texts (Lais, 2003, Aldous, 2006, Sluagh Ghairm, 2009, Private Haiku, 2022, Orografie, 2023), he conceived photography as an ideal continuation of writing. His images move from a philosophical premise on the representation of reality, of which photography is a mirror and shadow. Among his photographic works, Skyhole, a permanent installation inside a Swiss alpine dam, Autoritratto di lago, Il tempo a casa Colombo, Film Landscape. He collaborates and exhibits at important art galleries in Italy and abroad. He is a teacher of photographic technique and history of photography in various educational institutions.
